MICHELE BATTISTE is the author of two chapbooks: Raising Petra (Pudding House, 2007) and Mapping the Spaces Between (Snark Publishing, 2004). Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in several journals, including Pool, Poetry International, The Laurel Review, Harpur Palate, Nimrod, Inkwell, Willow Springs and 5AM. She is the recipient of a 2007 Blue Mountain Center Residency, a 2006 Jerome Foundation Travel and Study Grant, a 2005 AWP Intros Award and the 2004 Poetry Fellowship at Wichita State University.
