We are beyond thrilled to share the news that Sam Sax is the winner of the Spring 2014 Black River Chapbook Competition for his poetry chapbook sad boy / detective.
sad boy / detective will be published by Black Lawrence Press in fall 2015. We’re so happy to welcome Sam to the BLP family!
Sam SaxSam Sax is a fellow at The Michener Center for Writers & the associate poetry editor for Bat City Review. He is the two time Bay Area Grand Slam Champion & author of the chapbook, A Guide to Undressing Your Monsters (Button Poetry, 2014). His poems have been published or are forthcoming in Anti-, Boston Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, The Minnesota Review, The Normal School, Rattle, Vinyl, & other journals.
